Crystal Decisions, formerly known as Seagate Software Information Management Group, grew as a business intelligence company known for its flagship product, Crystal Reports, one of the most widely used report creation products available at the time. Crystal Decisions was acquired by Business Objects, an enterprise software company with a similar focus on business intelligence, in 2003, and Business Objects was later acquired by SAP.
