Stuart Sim

Stuart Sim joined Silver Lake in 2025 and is a Managing Director and the Head of AI. He leads a global team of data scientists, engineers and architects focused on Silver Lake’s value creation efforts using AI and technology.

Prior to joining Silver Lake, Stuart was the head of technical delivery at Bain & Company where he led the global team of data scientists and engineers building digital and AI solutions for clients. Stuart also led several large-scale AI transformations for Fortune 50 companies in the US, Australia, India and Africa. Stuart held the same global delivery role at McKinsey & Company as a leader on the McKinsey Digital team. He managed some of the largest digital transformations for the firm across multiple sectors including telecoms, banking, mining and media.

Earlier in his career, Stuart was a Chief Architect at Sun Microsystems where he specialized in large-scale grid compute systems for banking risk systems and also designed and built some of the world’s largest Dotcom platforms including ESPN and eBay.

Stuart began his career at Andersen Consulting as a software engineer in London. He holds an M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing Systems from Bristol University.
