Kenneth Hao

Ken Hao joined Silver Lake in 2000 and is Chairman and a Managing Partner. He currently serves as a board member of Broadcom. Previously, he served on the board of directors of Avago Technologies, NortonLifeLock, ServiceMax, Smart Global Holdings, Solarwinds, Splunk, Symantec and UGS. In 2008, Ken established the firm’s offices in Asia where he led Silver Lake’s investments in Alibaba Group and Ant Financial. Prior to joining Silver Lake, Ken spent a decade as a Managing Director of Hambrecht & Quist (now part of JP Morgan). He graduated with an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College where he was a member of the varsity tennis team. Ken also serves as Co-Chairman of the UCSF Executive Council, Vice Chairman of the UCSF Foundation and a board member of UTR Sports.
