Karen King

Karen King joined Silver Lake over twenty years ago and is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, leading operational firm management in multiple aspects of the firm’s business. Karen is also actively involved on the investment side of the business, especially around deal execution, portfolio company engagement and business development. Karen currently serves on the board of directors of Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc., Qualtrics and Relativity and previously served on the boards of Aras and Serena Software. Outside of Silver Lake, she also serves on the board of Franklin Templeton (NYSE: BEN). Prior to her role as COO, Karen served as the long-time chief legal officer. Karen is also on the board of Duke University and is a Trustee of the US Olympic & Paralympic Foundation. And, she is the past Chair of the board of Menlo School. Karen has an undergraduate degree in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and also graduated from Harvard Law School.
