Silver Lake has Formed a Credit Business

Silver Lake hired Roger Wittlin to launch a credit investment business named Silver Lake Financial that will manage various credit strategies for the firm. Mr. Wittlin joined Silver Lake from Wells Capital Management, where he was the former head of Sutter Credit Strategies, a business he established and grew to $3.5 billion under management. The new team is located in San Francisco.

Prior to Silver Lake Financial, Mr. Wittlin’s team managed credit assets including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds including stressed and distressed, and structured credit products for various foundations, public and private pension funds and corporations. Senior Research Analyst - Director/Portfolio Manager Chris Lee, and Senior Research Analysts - Directors Zeke Loretto, Umesh Bhandary and Shomo Sinha have all joined the Silver Lake Financial group, along with analyst Mark Niles and operations manager Gabriela Borlongan.

Silver Lake Financial’s credit capability will complement Silver Lake’s existing businesses focused on private equity investments in the technology sector, although the credit business will focus more broadly across sectors. Silver Lake Financial will announce official plans for its business later this year.
